Recycling Program
The City of Dexter has five recycling trailers. The Stoddard County Sheltered Workshop is the processing center. They are located on North Harris behind Fiddler's Restaurant in Dexter. For more information call them at 573-624-5971 or the Chamber of Commerce at 573-624-7458
The trailers are located at:   

Wal-Mart parking lot
Town & Country parking lot
Corner of Locust & Market
Northwest Main & Catalpa streets

Liberty Center parking lot

Items accepted are:   Glass
Aluminum cans
Plastic - Types 1, 2 (located on bottom of bottle or container, rinsed in water at least twice and the caps removed.)
Newspapers, magazines and paper
Corrugated cardboard boxes (must be flattened, broken down)
For mixed office paper - call Jim LaBrot
      at the Sheltered Workshop at 573-624-5971
A city-wide spring cleanup is held each year during the month of April.

Voting Information
Persons new to Dexter must register to vote four (4) weeks prior to an election and may register at the Dexter City Hall.
To re-register or transfer (one Dexter address to another Dexter address, or Rural to Dexter) must register three (3) weeks prior to elections.
Voting locations are: Ward I - Second General Baptist Activity Center
Ward II - Keller Public Library
Ward III - Municipal Building (Old Dexter Library)
Rural - Sacred Heart Parish Center
Absentee voters must go to the Courthouse in Bloomfield.
